Terms of Service

These terms cover website projects and care plans from LoonStack ("we", "us"). By paying a deposit you agree to them. They're written in plain English on purpose. Questions: kevin@loonstack.com.

1. The free preview

We may build a preview of your homepage from content on your current public website before you hire us. It's private, marked "Preview, not live," hidden from search engines, and removed when you ask or after 30 days without a reply. It creates no obligation for you.

2. What you get

• Starter ($997): up to 5 pages, phone-first design, contact or quote form, basic local SEO, connection to your domain, online booking (your current scheduler added to the site, or a free booking page connected to your own Google or Outlook calendar), a WhatsApp chat button if you use WhatsApp, links to software you already use, unlimited rounds of changes before launch, and the Launch Visibility Pack. You create and own any booking or software accounts; we never ask for your passwords. Connections that need custom programming get a written quote first.
• Growth ($1,497): everything in Starter, up to 12 pages including city and service pages, a detailed quote form, gallery and FAQ, unlimited rounds of changes before launch, and the expanded Visibility Pack.
• Before launch, we keep revising the pages in your package until you approve them in writing. Adding pages or features beyond your package gets a written quote first. Changes after launch fall under the care plan or a written quote.

3. Payment

Half the project price is due to start, and half when you approve the finished site in writing and before it goes live. Payments go through Stripe by card, bank account or Cash App. When you make the first payment, you authorize LoonStack to save that payment method with Stripe and charge the second half to it once you approve the finished site in writing. If that charge fails, we email you a secure link to pay instead. We never charge the second half before your written approval. The care plan ($49/month) starts at launch and bills monthly.

4. Payments and refunds

Your first payment is half of your project price and counts toward your total. It is not an extra fee. If you cancel before we start your full build, we refund it in full. Once the full build has started, the first payment isn't refundable. You pay the second half only after you approve the finished site. Care plan months already billed aren't refunded, but you can cancel anytime to stop future charges.

5. Timeline

Our goal is a finished site ready for your review within 2 weeks of receiving your intake form and deposit. Delays in receiving your content, answers or approval move the timeline.

6. Your domain and accounts

You buy, own and pay for your own domain at the registrar you choose. We never ask for your registrar password. To launch, you change your domain's nameservers to the two we provide. We check your email records before that change so your business email keeps working. You also own your Google Business Profile and other listings. We provide written content and instructions; you add it.

7. Content and ownership

You confirm you have the right to use the logos, photos and text you give us or that appear on your current site. Once you've paid in full, you own the website content and design we make for you. We may show your site as an example of our work unless you ask us not to.

8. Care plan

Covers hosting on Cloudflare, HTTPS, uptime monitoring, unlimited edits to your existing pages (text, photos, prices, hours, services), a monthly visibility report and one written Google Business post per month. Brand-new pages or features get a written quote first. You can cancel anytime by email; we may ask why and offer options, but we cancel it when you confirm.

9. Cancelling the care plan

Cancel anytime by email. Your site stays online for 30 days after cancellation, and you can ask for a copy of your site files. Your domain was always yours.

10. Communication

We work in writing. We don't offer phone or video calls. Written answers and approvals by email count as your approval under these terms.

11. No ranking guarantee

Nobody controls search results. We build sites the way search engines recommend and set up your listings, but we don't guarantee rankings, traffic or sales.

12. Liability

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We're not responsible for outages or changes caused by third parties such as your registrar, Google, Cloudflare or Stripe.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in effect when you pay your deposit applies to that project.
